About Our Firm

As a small workers’ compensation defense firm, Barno Law specializes in advising and representing employers in all aspects of Workers’ Compensation issues, including Industrial Commission hearings,  Court/.512 appeals, Mandamus Actions, Intentional Torts, VSSRs, Self-Insured Review Panel and Adjudicating Committee hearings.  We routinely appear for Industrial Commission hearings throughout the state of Ohio, and in every court in every county in Ohio.  We also represent various clients in other non-workers' compensation litigation matters.

Our clients include Fortune 500 Companies, large manufacturers, large refuse companies, and national trucking companies, as well as several health care providers, multiple employment staffing agencies, sports franchises, and both “mom and pop” and national chain restaurants.  We are small enough to be able to adapt quickly to our clients’ needs, all the while giving each of our clients very personal and focused attention to help them navigate the often complicated Ohio workers’ compensation landscape.

Barno Law is a fully paperless and was one of the first law firms in Ohio to become fully paperless.  We work closely with our clients’ Third Party Administrators so we can examine not only what is the best legal defense, but also what is the most cost-effective and efficient path to resolution.  Whether it is litigating a claim or resolving a claim through negotiating a favorable settlement, we take pride in making sure our clients are given personal attention.
